Whitney is an experienced attorney whose practice focuses on corporate finance and securities, representing small companies, entrepreneurs, venture capital firms and private investors. Whitney advises clients in a wide variety of corporate matters, including formation of companies, venture financings, debt financings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters, and has assisted with public company offerings, SEC compliance and reporting obligations. She also has experience advising on biotechnology licensing.
Prior to joining Brubaker Law LLP in 2015, Whitney was a corporate attorney in the Palo Alto offices of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, P.C. and Morrison Foerster LLP.
Whitney received a J.D. from Boston University, where she also earned an M.P.H. with a focus in Health Law, Human Rights and Bioethics. Whitney received a B.S. in Microbiology from Brigham Young University, cum laude with University Honors and a minor in African Studies. She spent time abroad studying in France, Art History in Western Europe, and traditional medicine in Ghana, West Africa.
Whitney is a member of the State Bar of California.
