David Starkweather

David Starkweather’s practice focuses on taxation. David has extensive experience advising on tax planning and vetting, including M&A transactions, financings, reorganizations, recapitalizations, partnership tax compliance, cross-border and offshore investments, and executive compensation.

In addition to his work at Brubaker Law LLP, David maintains a solo practice.

David received his J.D. (cum laude), from University of San Francisco School of Law, where he was an editor of the University of San Francisco Law Review. He also received an L.L.M in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 2014. David received his B.A. from the University of Chicago. 

David is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to the United States District Court, Northern District of California. He is a member of the Bay Area Young Tax Attorneys and has volunteered with the San Francisco Bar Association and the AIDS Legal Referral Panel.
